Caregivers Need Care Too!

Project EMPOWER is a free, evidence-based, 1-session online program for caretakers (e.g., parents, teachers, etc.) to equip them with skills to build bravery and reduce anxiety-driven avoidance in children.

Adaptations:

While accommodation has been primarily investigated within the context of child anxiety, it involves caretaking behaviors that may also play a significant role in maintaining other areas of psychopathology; adjusting daily routines to aid avoid triggers and/or directly participating in strategies to reduce child’s distress in the moment is a common parent behavior when caretaking for children.
